Meet Denyse!

With over 20 years in corporate and consulting settings, I’m a resourceful and energetic midlife career transition coach passionate about helping individuals tackle their mid-career ambitions and challenges, one step at a time.

After a rewarding tenure as an accomplished communications strategist in software, gaming and the entertainment industries, I made a mid-career pivot of my own and joined Lee Hecht Harrison (LHH) as an outplacement career consultant right before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meeting 800+ candidates over the past few years, I found myself gravitating towards mid-career professionals and the challenges they faced. After establishing myself as a resourceful outplacement consultant, I began offering private career coaching to professionals that want to learn about my unique approach to midlife career transitions by blending career development and hands-on experience (and that’s where the Midlife Career Pivot was born!).

Just like my clients, I’m constantly learning and evolving. In addition to my master’s degree in counseling from San Jose State University where I designed my thesis on a virtual career course for college students (this was groundbreaking for 2010). I also recently received my certifications in Career Transition and Interviewing and Compensation Negotiation from Career Thought Leaders Resume Writing Academy.

I’m also a speaker on midlife career issues with my unique methodology, 5 Ways to Become the Maven of Your Midlife, which I often present at women’s conferences throughout California. In addition, I co-host and produce a podcast, Midlife at the Mailbox, to discuss hot topics and career issues for people in midlife, which is on its third season with thousands of downloads. 

A native of Fresno and SoCal resident, proud Armenian-American and UCLA undergraduate alumnae, I love spending time with my husband and two growing children (ages 12 and 8), as well as taking online cardio dance classes, playing pickleball and volunteering on the Armenian Church Camp Committee and McGaugh Elementary PTA in Orange County, California.
